PID Controller
  • A proportional–integral–derivative controller (PID controller or three-term controller) is a control loopmechanism employing feedback that is widely used in industrial control systems and a variety of other applications requiring continuously modulated control. A PID controller continuously calculates an error value {\displaystyle e(t)}as the difference between a desired setpoint (SP) and a measured process variable (PV) and applies a correction based on proportional, integral, and derivative terms (denoted PI, and D respectively), hence the name.
  • In practical terms it automatically applies accurate and responsive correction to a control function. An everyday example is the cruise control on a car, where ascending a hill would lower speed if only constant engine power were applied. The controller’s PID algorithm restores the measured speed to the desired speed with minimal delay and overshoot by increasing the power output of the engine.
  • The first theoretical analysis and practical application was in the field of automatic steering systems for ships, developed from the early 1920s onwards. It was then used for automatic process control in the manufacturing industry, where it was widely implemented in pneumatic, and then electronic controller. Today the PID concept is used universally in applications requiring accurate and optimised automatic control.
PLC Controller
  • Programmable Logic Controller or PLC is a computing system used to control electromechanical processes. SCADA stands for Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition. It is a type of industrial control system that is used to monitor and control facilities and infrastructure in industries
  • In this work, medium capacity-controlled heating system is designed and constructed. The programming method of control of heating process is achieved by means of integrated programmable logic controller (PLC) and frequency inverter (FI). The PLC main function is to determine the required temperatures levels and the related time intervals of the heating hold time in the furnace. FI is used to control the dynamic change of temperature between various operating points. The designed system shows the capability for full control of temperature from zero to maximum for any required range of time in case of increasing or decreasing the temperature. All variables of the system will be changed gradually until reaching their needed working points.
Water Heating System
  • Water heating is a type of indirect heating in which a liquid phase heat transfer medium is heated and circulated to one or more heat energy users within a closed loop system.
  • The patented liquid heating systems are designed for further accuracy in the production cycle. Allowing for higher temperatures with a more uniform distribution.
  • Water heating is a heat transfer process that uses an energy source to heat water above its initial temperature.
  • Advantages include easy maintenance when compared to electric heating, quick replacement equipment change-out, surface cooling, and ability to use prepreg materials.
  • An integrated touch screen computer system helps to simplify the heating control system.
